How does one weigh consumer confidence? Although there are no measurements to definitively quantify the level of trust consumer’s have in a brand, local real estate leaders PropNex has a pretty accurate benchmark.
“With some of the recent media spotlight on unscrupulous agents in the real estate industry,” says Adam Tan, Corporate Communications Manager for PropNex, “winning the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Gold Award is a sign that consumers are still confident in our delivering professional service.”
This is the second year in a row, since the award’s real estate category for was launched in 2008. The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands is based on a survey that polled 60,000 independent consumers across Asia for their feedback on brands that they felt were reliable and dependable.
Although PropNex has won many accolades over the years, including the ASME Top Entrepreneur for Commerce and Enterprise 50 in 2008, we are particularly proud of the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Gold award.
“This award is unique,” explains Mr Tan. “The results are a direct translation of the consumers’ perception of us, in terms of our innovation, service standards and other factors. This award is a tangible and invaluable endorsement of our customers.”
Moving forward, Mr Tan insists that PropNex will not be resting on its laurels. “We aim to maintain our leading position as a trustworthy real estate agency in this highly unregulated industry,” he says.
“We are very consumer-centric here at PropNex,” continues Mr Tan. “with our first responsibility is to our customers. Besides supporting industry and government efforts to regulate the industry and raise the standard of professionalism, we also take it upon ourselves to raise the service standard from within.
For instance, he highlights, earlier this year PropNex was the first real estate agency in Singapore to have every agent covered by Professional Indemnity insurance, thereby protecting the company’s consumers. PropNex has also recently introduced new specialized training courses for agents in many aspects of the business; these are in addition to PropNex’s extensive in-house CREST training programme and 288 days of training for continuous development of their agents.
“More directly, each PropNex customer also gets a goodie pack from us,” Mr Tan says, “that helps them with their new home. The goodie packs offer them exclusive benefits such as a Certificate of Deposit Guarantee, Home Repair Warranty Plan, Home Content Insurance and vouchers. We contact every customer to get feedback on our service and to identify areas for improvement. We also invite all members of the public to become a PropNex Privilege Member, to get timely market updates and analyses, as well as priorities at the frequent free property seminars that we conduct.”
“Service You Trust is our tagline,” concludes Mr Tan, “and we are both honoured and happy to see our efforts towards delivering this strike gold.”
